Tips, tricks and lessons learned
I considered myself a seasoned traveler even before we set out on this journey but I’ve come to realize that long term travel is a completely different beast than vacation trips of a few weeks duration.
You can have at least as much fun and adventure on a short trip as on a long journey. The key differences are that on a long journey your choices have more consequence and you can’t postpone practical chores until you get back home. The journey becomes your everyday life with everything that encompasses.
I would like to record and share some of the lessons many months and thousands of kilometers on the road have taught me. Feel free to comment whether you agree, disagree, have questions or something to add.
