…MOVE THE SOUL
…Move the soul
When we decided to embark on The Journey I was riding a XT1200Z Super Ténéré and Katrine a BMW F800GS.
We really liked the bikes. They were well suited both for everyday riding and exploring Europe, but less than ideal for the journey we have in mind. We wanted something smaller, more nimble and better suited for off road riding.
Besides that I wanted us to ride 2 identical bikes as it would reduce the amount of tools and spare parts we needed to bring – and it would make it easier for me to service and maintain the bikes during the trip.
Katrine trusted my judgment regarding choice of bike and left the decision to me – however, she reserved the right to veto.
